Blythe, a well-known athlete across not only Australia but the world, became involved in wheelchair sports after a car accident left him a paraplegic at 19 in Blythe grew up on a sheep farm outside Derrinallum in Victoria's Western District, where he became a champion teenage footballer. Two days after his crash, officials from Geelong rang Blythe to invite him to train with the team — but he was forced to decline.
Steven Todd Jenkins, a teen-ager so fascinated with guns that he took his rifle to bed with him every night, was found guilty here today of the first-degree murder of a local banker who had repossessed his family's farm. In addition, the tall, thin youth was found guilty of second-degree murder in the rifle slaying of another bank officer who was also lured to the former Jenkins family farm last Sept. The year-old, who will spend at least his next 18 years in prison, appeared impassive as the twin guilty verdicts were read in the tense courtroom here in rural southwestern Minnesota.

Jamie Blyth is best known for appearing as a contestant on the first season of the ABC reality television show The Bachelorette. Jamie made it through several rose ceremonies but was eventually sent home by Trista Rehn, who ended up choosing and later marrying, Ryan Sutter. Unbeknownst to fellow Bachelorette contestants at the time, Jamie was dealing with more than just normal jitters about being on TV. Jamie suffered his first panic attack in
Lamb of God front man Randy Blythe and his heavy metal band set out to make a concert film, "As the Palaces Burn," but somewhere along the way it became a courtroom drama. The rockers were in the midst of a cross-Europe tour with documentary cameras in tow on June 27,when Blythe was arrested in conjunction with the death of a fan at one of their shows in the country two years earlier. Plucked off a plane by police upon the band's arrival in Prague, Blythe was charged with manslaughter stemming from the death of year-old Daniel Nosek, a fan who fell off the stage and died from a resulting head injury.
Blythe OgilvieDirector of the Richfield Public Library in Richfield, Utah, was a recipient of the Taylor Willingham Fund grant, intended to help people pursue public engagement projects in their communities. In this article, published in the Youth Services Round Table News, Ogilvie describes how she is using the grant to enrich programs aimed at preventing suicide among teens, and especially among Native American teens. She is working to "create an evidence-based dialogue curriculum" and descibes how she will be using before and after surveys, in addition to a control group, to collect data "to assess the relevancy of the dialogues in creating a better awareness of mental health issues and resources.
