Forensic Toxicology. Fentanyl analogues are popular in recent years among drug addicts and have been related to many overdoses and deaths worldwide. Furanylfentanyl, ocfentanil, acetylfentanyl and butyrfentanyl are among the most common of these drugs.

Urine drug screens are commonly performed to identify drug use or monitor adherence to drug therapy. The purpose of this retrospective study was to evaluate the true positive and false positive rates of one of our in-house urine drug screen panels. The urine drugs of abuse panel studied consists of screening by immunoassay then positive immunoassay results were confirmed by mass spectrometry.
A class of opioid agonists not structurally related to fentanyl, derived from research publications of pharmaceutical companies or patents within the United States and abroad are contributing to the current opioid epidemic. Novel synthetic opioids NSOs created to circumvent drug control laws such as U, U, AH, or MT have no recognized therapeutic use, are clandestinely manufactured and sold on conventional or dark web. We herein provide a review of the pharmacological properties available on most of these substances trying to provide a better knowledge on these compounds, particularly with respect to toxicity and dangerous adverse effects in users.

Abstract Opioid-related mortality rates have escalated. Drug interactions may increase blood concentrations of the opioid. In this study, we have examined the inhibitory effect of 12 mostly antifungal azoles. Inhibitors were first incubated with HLMs at three concentrations with or without preincubation of inhibitor with reducing equivalents to also screen for time-dependent inhibition TDI.
The laboratory is responsible for analytical testing, records maintenance and review of analytical testing and interpretation of results for more than 10, medical examiner cases annually. The staff which consists of toxicologists, chemists, laboratory technicians and administrative technicians performs more than 36, analytical tests each year. The following table is provided only as a guide.
The Journal of Analytical Toxicology is an international toxicology journal devoted to the timely dissemination of scientific communications concerning potentially toxic substance and drug identification, isolation, and quantitation. Since its inception inthe Journal of Analytical Toxicology has striven to present state-of-the art techniques used in toxicology labs. The peer-review process provided by the distinguished members of the Editorial Advisory Board ensures the high quality and integrity of the Journal of Analytical Toxicology articles. CONTENT: With an emphasis on practical application, articles provided in the Journal of Analytical Toxicology introduce improved and new techniques for use in a variety of toxicology lab settings.
