Elephants drink between and litres a day on average. Peanuts, on the other hand, are tiny. Although, unlike elephants, hippos and rhinos can have all four feet off the ground at the same time when they run.

Photo by Lek Chailert. I went to India four times before I saw my first real live elephant. I clapped when the elephants played football and I gasped with amazement with the rest of the crowd when we watched one paint a picture.

Has anyone been to this sanctuary? I was thinking of going there after I have visited Taman Negara National Park but an not too sure whether it would be worth it as it seems to be a bit of a journey away from there. Any advice would be appreciated.
This blog is also about asking the elephants to leave. It was really good, actually. And i guess in my head there had been some traces of quality time and maybe it was okay for me to zone out and write a blog….
Where do I start? On October 14,I was told those words. I was diagnosed with Stage ll, Invasive Ductal Carcinoma.
Thank you. Thank you so much. Thank you, audience coordinator, for putting those titties up in the front row.

We were only supposed to stay in Chiang Mai in northern Thailand for three nights, but we liked it so much, we stayed for six. The sanctuary has six elephants, including a rambunctious baby elephant. We started our visit by changing into Elephant Mahout their caretakers clothing, loading up our pockets and bags with bananas, and feeding the elephants. Some of the elephants had strong preferences about which bananas they would eat — only brown bananas that had already been peeled for them — and some would happily suck down whatever was offered.
