Despite Paul and Jon's best efforts, Geffen has refused to allow a director's cut to be released. The original ending was included as an extra on the 25th Anniversary Blue Ray Edition of the film, but its' dark, sarcastic and almost surreal power is really best seen when cut properly into the film. It had been years since I had seen the film straight through. It is, finally, a movie that even people who hate Tom Cruise can love.
